Send Me On My Way

Posted by Molly Daugherty

On January 6th, I head to APCA Orphanage in Cambodia. I have little idea about what my responsibilities and daily routine will be like, but I am looking forward to the challenge of living in an orphanage with 60 kids 40 miles SW of Phnom Penh for three months. My biggest challenge so far: packing all of the wonderful donations I have received!

Just like my blog for Semester at Sea, I promise to do my best to update and post onto this page as often as I can.

Dear Molly,

What's a blog? Does it have anything to do with myFace?

Chinese laddies with bladders of steel? You didn't stand a chance. I can't believe you only got up 3 times on a 14 hour flight. Hope little Netty is handling the conditions like a trooper.

Molly,
I am so proud of you and excited for you. You will be such an amazing blessing to those people over there. Your passion and heart will thrive more and more each day as you work in the orphanage. I will be praying for you and look forward to following you on your adventure. Love you!!!

Dear Molly,
Sounds like you are off to a good start. Horrible plane ride, though. I bet it will be difficult to remember the names of all the kids since their names are quite different than ours. You will do well, no doubt.

Enjoy what you are doing!
Love, Ruth

Molly, I am happy to see that being on the other side hasn't stopped you from biking!

Dear Molly:

Congratulations on going halfway around the world. I'm in Asia too, though it's a far different world here. I plan to follow your blog to see how you're doing. If you're interested, I'll let you know how my Asian journey is going too.

Sean

Dear Molly,

Looks like the kids have already fallen in love with you and you with them. Are there any ones there who you knew when you were there before? I like the pictures. They give us a better idea of where you are.

Love, Ruth

Molly,
Please send Gretchen an e-mail with a postal address.
Have you seen any spiders or snakes?

Best Wishes,
